Jeremy Taylor
Jeremy Taylor is the Executive Director of Free Burma Alliance, a coalition of human rights and humanitarian relief organizations dedicated to bringing freedom to the ill-treated and oppressed people of Burma. He produced and directed the feature documentary, Burma: An Indictment about the xenophobic military junta of Myanmar, formerly Burma. Mr. Taylor published the highly regarded quarterly, Film Festival Today (“FFT”), before converting the enterprise into a Web-based publication at www.filmfestivaltoday.com which features popular video interviews with directors of issue-based films, Movies That Matter, and he has a weekly live call-in TV show in Manhattan about human rights. www.stepuptime.com.
Dr. Thomas P. Van Dyke
Dr. Thomas P. Van Dyke, B.S., MBA, Ph.D., is Executive Director of Heroes Serving Humanity. He has been involved in the human rights struggle in Burma since becoming a volunteer for the Free Burma Rangers in 2000. A retired US Army officer and former university professor, Dr. Van Dyke left academia in 2008 to pursue humanitarian relief work full time. In 2009 he founded Heroes Serving Humanity. HSH works with others to provide logistical, training, and financial support to indigenous volunteers who bring humanitarian relief to the world’s most desperate people in the world’s most dangerous places. Their focus is on documenting human rights abuses and providing humanitarian relief to victims of crimes against humanity in areas underserved by large international aid organizations.
